Guest guest
Naffy, I always seem to need a HIGH dose of thyroid meds, no matter what I am on. My BP was high on 100mcg of T3. Now that I am on over 200mcg of T3 my BP is around 120/68 & HR is 76. I am treating HIGH cortisol not low cortisol. Like I said, my HR raises a few days after an increase but always settles down after a couple of days. Gale > > > > For those of you having problems with rising BP. Guest guest
Thanks Gale....I will have to monitor it more closely to see if I see a pattern developing with me as well. I had it taken yesterday and it was fine....but then on other days it is high, so it may be like you said....related to dose increases. Guest guest
My blood pressure has gone up in the last couple of weeks. Even when I first wake up before any meds. It's usually around 130/78 but sometimes after hc it's 176/83. If I wait as long as possible during the day it goes down but I need to take the meds. Could it be caused from the T3? Or does it sound more like hc? I am only taking 12.5 hc: 5, 2.5, 2.5, 2.5. And T3 is: 12.5 + 6.25 4x a day. Gayle
Guest guest
Joan, If you do website ‘research’ you have PERFECT blood pressure. Mine has been a consistent same as yours – til now. But if it’s not over 160....it’s not ‘critical’. And 157 isn’t (LOL), even tho’ it’s far from an individuals’ norm. Maybe it’s not critical for an 18 stone bloke w/ usual BP 150/whatever, but 43kg with usual 110/80 - does anyone in health system have any brains in operation, or are they all just good regurgitatorrs of medical manuals ?? I’m really beginning to be afraid it is so.... joy
Guest guest
Low BP, or high BP? Or low blood sugar, or low sats... All will give feeling of faintness. In my case my BP was the only really differing aspect – from never above 120 at most, over a usual 80, to 157 (systolic), then at other times down to 62 (diastolic). Too much change, too rapid. Yes, I’ve often had lightheadedness etc before, this is something really different to anything – and am familiar w/ low BP, low sugar etc etc.... joy
