Guest guest
Stacey, As We spoke before about Dr. Shoemaker, you are so close to him I personally think if it is possiable that is where you need to start. If nothing else one of you can go and learn the protocal he uses then maybe find another doctor to follow it and treat all or some of you. The CSM spoke of is Chlorestyramine. It is a cholestoral medication from the dark ages but is a binding agent that removes toxins and things from your body that are to small to be elliminated by themselves. I will again suggest that you go to the link I sent you for Dr. Shoemakers videos and watch the 101 series. That will explain loads of info to you. I have found other doctors and you can find them but they will be doctors that follow Dr. Shoemakers protocal as he is one of the leading doctors on the subject. There are others you will here about on the group or otherwise but you are just to close to the man himself. since he has a partial family history from me this will help. Also the book " Mold warriors " is full of information and I can send it to you but he has a new book comeing out this summer soon. There are alot of members here from NY and that area up there so they may have some other suggestions as well. Chris...
Guest guest
> How do you go about finding a physician who is willing to look outside > the " antibiotic " box? Stacey, You probably aren't going to find a conventional physician who will think outside the pharmaceutical box. Dr. Shoemaker is good, but if you can't get to him, if you look at the AAEM list of environmental doctors in your region by doing a computer search, some of them know and treat mold/chemical exposures. Ask questions about their protocols before you make the appointment like " How do you treat mold/chemical exposures? " You can also look up practitioners in your area who are naturopaths, or alternative medicine practitioners.Sometimes chiropractors especially chiropractic neurologists can be helpful. Again, ask questions before you go to the office. Some in my area will talk to patients certain hours and talk about their detox protocols like IV supplementation, oral chelation, and oxygen therapies. Hope this gives you some ideas... Guest guest
Stacey, I agree with that you see Dr. Shoemaker if you are close enough. He is an excellent Dr. who knows all about toxic illnesses but you should try to get there ASAP. The longer you wait the worse you may become. I have been seeing him for just over 4 yrs. and can't say enough good things about him. I am doing so much better and am so thankful I found him when I did. Another person from my workplace stayed too long & hasn't recovered as well. I highly recommend you read the info on his web site and take the VCS test immediately. Then call the office and ask for the new patient information that you need to fill out and return to his office so you can get scheduled for an appt. I don't know how long the wait is but I'd get on the list as soon as you can. If I can answer any other questions please let me know. Guest guest
Thanks Chris. I tried to go take that online test last night but my computer locked up, so I will take it tonight. I had actually intended on calling Dr. Shoemaker today, but the day got away from me, so I will make it a point to do it tomorrow. Nothing happens by chance...maybe this is part of the reason for our move up this way... > > Stacey, > As We spoke before about Dr. Shoemaker, you are so close to him I personally think if it is possiable that is where you need to start.
