Guest guest Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 I am suing my ex land lord in small claims court for the loss of my property oh and my security deposit. cant believe she kept that. the amount 5,000 doesnt even begin to cover what i have lost as you all know that have been through toxic mold exposure. i lost well over 10,000 dollars worth of stuff, and i know some of you have lost much more. but i am getting my health back - thank goodness. here is the thing. her insurance agent called me the other day asking me all kinds of questions about the case. asing if i have a lawyer (i wish) what exactly happened. and all kinds of stuff. at this time i was not being cooperative. they apparently are trying to sue the contractor (who i kept telling my land lord was doing things wrong and making things worse). I had my court date last week and my land lord showed up and cancled saying she needed more time to see if her home owners would pay for the damage. during the nightmare of ripping my living room apart i was talking wiht the home owner insurance guy and he said her policy doesnt cover any of my property. so what do i do? do i call the home owner insurance guy back and tell him i will cooperate against the contractor so they can sue the contractor, just give me my money? or will i be shooting my self. i am so broke and so tired of this. and i need that money so bad. i am desperate.
