Guest guest
I was not going to post on this subject, but I could not get it out of my mind, so I have to tell you all my story with Cymbalta. It is a great anti-depressant and it does help with pain a good bit. BUT, if you have ever struggled with suicidal thoughts, I would stay far away from this medicine. I took it for about 9-10 months and my depression kept getting worse. Everytime I would go to the doctor and he would ask all kinds of questions, he would increase the amount that I was taking. On February 28, 2006 it was only by the grace of God that I did not commit suicide. I was so numb to everything and knew that I did not want to have to struggle anymore and be such a burden for my family. After hours of crying and planning I called my husband to say good-bye and he came home immediately. I don't want to scare anyone, but I do want to sound the alarm and tell everyone to read all the papers that you get when given a prescription. If I had read them before I started taking Cymbalta I would have known to be extra careful or to try another medicine. Please know that there are so many people who can take this medicine with out any problems, but there are many that were not as fortunate as I was.
