Guest guest
Hello: My dad is in down slump right now. He fell down the stairs last week and I think we have decided he needs a hospital bed downstairs as well as a portable comode because the only bathroom is upstairs. I think the fall has caused more confusion etc. I think just everything has gotten worse lately. He is having more accidents. My dad now has physical theraphy and ot. My mom has someone come in to give him a bath as well as respite twice a week. It really is taking a toll on her right now also. Just wondering how much help will they give you because it seems like if they would give you enough help, it would be so much cheaper than a nursing home. Also when do you say enough I can't take anymore and think about nursing home care. My moms mother was in a nursing home and she is not thrilled with them (can't blame her) I just feel if we get enough help with him and get some kind of schedule we could hold off for a while. Also is it the Lbd that actually takes them or is it a complication of the lbd? Kathy
