New Fundraisers for W & R and more

Good Morning All,

I do hope you were all " prepared " as best you could be for this weather. I

knew it was coming, but all I could do was dread it. Here in WI, it's

starting out just like it did last year, with snow every couple of days, and

then the " blow-outs " started. Guess we won't know how it's going to be until

it gets here --- just try to prepare for it.

Jeff and Joanne Sammons have gotten some Polish Hand-blown glass ornaments

for a fundraiser for Wishes and Rainbows --- all money will be a donation to

W & R. My understanding is that as the ones on the website sell, others will

be added.

W & R has also somewhat " designed " a Chiari and SM Lapel pin. We wanted

something different, that would stand out and catch peoples eyes. So, we

sort of " adopted " the Yin Yang design, but instead of black and white, we

used the purple for the Chiari, and since SM doesn't seem to have a color,

we went with turquoise for the other side. On the rim of the purple side, it

reads " Chiari Malformation " , and on the turquoise side, the rim reads

" Syringomyelia " . I don't remember now what the cost was, but the pins will

pay for themselves and any shipping, the rest of the money will go into the

" pot " as a donation to W & R, funding our programs.

I received my notice today that they have been shipped. So, as soon as we

have them in our hot little hands, we'll make the announcement.

I am also making Chiari and SM bracelets --- again, different from the rest

being done. I'm making them out of Swarovski crystals so they are nice

looking --- I'm using purple for Chiari, turquoise for SM with " spacers "

just the clear crystals. I'm putting them on a stretch band ---- you will be

able to measure your wrist for a perfect fit; it shouldn't have any

" flopping " , nor should it be too tight -- the fit will depend on you and how

you measure your wrist.

These are not on the website yet --- I will be getting them mailed off this

week for their " photo shoot " , and then published on the website. We will let

you know when they are ready.

AND, I've also made some earrings --- nothing to do with CM or SM; I'm just

trying to get some funding in W & R for our kids Christmas. The cost was

mine, but ALL the money will go to W & R .

Well, I'm sure I've about driven you all crazy, so I'll stop and let you

regroup.
