Guest guest
Ok I am going to clarify further.... Make sure you know which upper GI your doctor orders.... An upper GI barium swallow is what Beth said... BUT an upper GI is an endoscopy its been called an Upper GI for as long as I had been in medicine which now would be...well forget how many years... Believe me I went for the double upper GI and lower GI study...had the nice versid so I could forget...so they could check both ends... But when my husband recently had an endoscopy he was literally in for surgery...this was much more serious than my little upper GI where they put a tube down and up... On a side note I did not care for the tilting of the table for the barium upper gi...well something else to be concerned about... We need tests it is just that we need to be cognizant that we have special issues...
