I know this is to Jeff, but just has me thinking. Perhaps hot air from

a/c dries out water as a vapor that goes outside through sleeve

provided. I hate the way these a/c machines drip outside on ground.

They really could use some redesigning.

My house is 90 degrees also, waiting for new a/c coils to come. Makes

you really appreciate a/c...difficult to sleep.

Jac,

Below is a description of a product available athrough ACE Hardware.

There are many brands. I am not familiar with the chemicals they use,

though quarternary ammonium compounds used to be used:

" OUTLAND " AIR CONDITIONER PAN CLEANER TABLETS

Use for air conditioners, humidifiers, or refridgerators

Cleans scum and other accumulations

Eliminates plugged drains and pans

Stops odors, overflows and water damage

Non toxic

Concentrated formula - use one tab per ton

I assume these are safer than salt, as salt will corrode galvanized

pans and aluminum.

Remember, the best way to prevent bioslime is to use good (MERV-8 or

better) filtration.
