Guest guest
I got the joke Carl. He he.. This is completley off subject but along these lines. I wonder how many of you know that the " Non stick " pans that you cook in are processed with formaldehyde, and I cant remember what else. The only " safe " pan to use is a hospital grade stainless steel pan. and there is much to say about double and triple layer stainless steel as well. But Little known fact about this subject I thought I would throw in here for the MCSers on the group. > From: Judith <howdeeeyall@ aol.com> > Subject: [] Concrobium question > > Date: Sunday, July 20, 2008, 12:29 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > Has anyone used this for cleaning up and inhibiting mold? Guest guest
Speaking of which---isn't glass safe? I have glass frying pans from Corning. Also, I just found out my fricken' crockpot probably has lead, and I make delicious beans weekly in my crockpot. I spent endless hours this weekend on Debra Dadd's site and all over the internet and bought two. One is made from clay-------but I probably won't use it every week since although it has no added lead, who's to say what is in the clay? The other is tempered glass. So I'll probably mostly use that. No matter how hard you try you can't be smart enough to avoid everything toxic!
Guest guest
Hi. Would you mind sharing where you found a crock pot that seems to be nontoxic? I have two old ones, but don't know if they are safe or not. Thanks. Judith > > Speaking of which---isn't glass safe? I have glass frying pans from > Corning. Guest guest
Elite Gourmet Slow Cooker on Amazon. I have to warn you tho. I'm not sure if it was drop shipped or not. If so, don't buy it unless you can air it out because the box it was shipped in had an odor of mold to me (I'm very tuned in now). I ordered from Joe Muscle. Even tho its glass I gave it to my boyfriend for now, to use a few times, in case there were any mold spores on it. Its tempered glass and looks pretty good. So check if all the places that sell it drop ship it from the same warehouse and if you're mold sensitive, open the package outside, and air it out for a few days. > > > > Speaking of which---isn't glass safe? Guest guest
Jill, thanks for the info and the warning! I've seen another brand of crockpot with Corning pyrex-type pot. Do you think those would be OK too? Judith > > Elite Gourmet Slow Cooker on Amazon. I have to warn you tho. I'm not > sure if it was drop shipped or not.
