Guest guest
Dear Jayn- A beautiful gift this is. A testimony that God takes care of us when we need the caring most. This sort of visit, and the one Courage had with her dear mom, doesn't just happen. My thoughts are these visits and gifts are given at the times when we need them and we carry the memories with us. Keeping you, Teva, Ruth, and your family close in our hearts, thoughts, and prayers - always! She had stopped by the NH to see Teva and found her awake and alert. Not what she was 3 or 4 months ago but not unresponsive like she had been for days. She is still not eating or drinking very much and I think her kidneys are shutting down, but for my younger sister it was a blessing as she lives 5 hours away, and this is probably her last visit with Teva. But she did have a miracle of Teva being alert while she was there. I will be going down to see her tomorrow. Courage I am so excited for you and yours and the visit you had with your mom. Things went along as they usually do, mom sleeping away while we all talk and/or hold her hand. Just minutes before mom was to go into the dinning room to have her dinner mom not only woke up but she lit up!!!! I mean eyes wide open with the most amazing smile. She was moving her head back and forth taking us all in and kept smiling. She kissed my daughter and my son and kept looking at her great-grand daughters. I think mom knew who we were. We were just amazed. The whole time mom's face looked happy like a kid on christmas morning - it was magical. I can't tell you how happy and grateful we all were to experience this. We couldn't stop talking about it all the way home and even phoned each other again later to share in this mini-miracle. I haven't seen my mom look this animated in years. For a few minutes there, mom was back with us. Had to share this wonderful event with you all.
