On Walter Street, neighbors believe a problem property was giving them headches; literally. Now after four years of waiting they belive that headache should be disappearing. Neighbors here feel the demolition of 115 Walter Street will eliminate the source of some of their health problems. Jim Calhoun, Buffalo Resident: " Toxc black mold, Mike. I've got bronchitis. My wife has a respiratory condition. I sit in the back yard. You can actually smell it. " Goff, Buffalo Resident: " The house, I really believe it's the house. My daughter McKenzie; she's had nothing but breathing problems, allergies and it's only started since we moved here. " As the house comes down, neighbors say the black spots you see in the insulation and other parts of the house is mold. Bickley and her family lived in the house four years ago. They discovered mold while remodeling. She says her doctors recommended they leave. Bickley, Buffalo Resident: " My two and a half year old was hospitalized in Children's Hospital for four days. We had to get out. We had to leave everything. " Afetr 2 On Your Side contacted Buffalo's Inspections Department about 115 Walter Street, Acting Commissioner Jim Comerford personally inspected the building and ordered an immediate demolition. Jim Comerford, Acting Buffalo Inspections Commissioner: " Because there's a potential for mold, I want to get the house down as soon as possible, get it graded and relieve the neighbors of the headache. " Just one day after that interview, the four year old headache was leveled. Goff: " We're happy for the safety of our children and our neighbors.
