Guest guest
If you're using the powder in the can mix it with some white grape or apple juice. I used Crystal light and had no problems. I did have some bloating, heartburn and constipation but all can be taken care of with antiacids and milk of magnesia every night. 4 times a day is best. I started with 4 doses a day followed the directions to the letter and never missed a dose. Imflamation was so bad I could hardly walk, bend my fingers, it even hurt to put my elbows on the bed at night. Without a doubt it saved my life! Sue ruff, I didn't sleep so been sleeping most of the day. I've been sleeping alot sence the trip. anyway bothered my stomach but maybe things well get better in a few days. I'm going to have to work my way up to the 4 doses a day. but just that first dose made a difference on the inflamation and burming in the hands and feet. round two coming up:)..yuck **************Looking for a car that's sporty, fun and fits in your budget? Guest guest
Forgive me, I haven't read your previous post on inflammation, but when you take the CSM, are you saying it makes the inflammation go down? I have been taking it about a month now and at first, it did the same for me, however, the last week or so, it seems like it makes inflammation worse in my feet. Any comments on this please? > > > > > > If you're using the powder in the can mix it with some white grape > or apple > > juice. >
Guest guest
I've haven't been takeing it long enough, but yes, the first dose seemed to bring down the inflamatin and swelling some, my feet started itching instead of burning. their still a little swollen now , nit mych and my hands are much better. I also had some bloating and water retension going on that it brought down. however I'm felling pretty pukey and if I throw up I dont know if I wekk be able to continue take it. I haven't made it past two times a day and I just dont know if I well. but so far I'm hanging in there.
Guest guest
What does your doctor say? There are a lot of variables you should explain to him/her. If you have been hypersensitized, you may be reacting to an ongoing exposure. In a humid climate, you may be getting new exposure just from mold that is coming from rotting leaves, etc. outdoors. Thats why ts so important to avoid getting hypersensitized in the first place. It took me a very long time to get to where I am now. If you live in the humid summer areas, climate may superimpose its own effects over whatever improvement you manage during the winter and spring. In my experience, now that I am living in one, its very hard to get away from mold. There are entire towns that make me ill..they must be moldy.. thats the only explanation I can come up with. If you live in a humid summer/rotting fall area, you may want to consider moving until you can get your reactivity down to the point where you can live there again.. Or, accept that recovery may take longer there... Stick with it, it may take a long time. For me, its a constant battle. I become less reactive if I can AVOID RE-EXPOSURE - its hard - It seems that at least now I need to KEEP ON taking cholestyramine, at a low level and then kick it up whenever I feel as if I have been re-exposed. There are lots of different kinds of mold reactions.. its quite varied.. That must be different kinds of mold.. I don't know, the common denominator is moldiness.. sometimes I also react to some chemicals.. solvents, gas fumes, etc.. but not always.. not all mold, either! (when I do, I can feel various signs in many different parts of my body.. fatigue, ringing in my ears, GI issues, etc, etc.) Its complicated.. I used to have the swollen legs and feet thing, a long time ago, at the beginning, when it was really bad. I still get painful sacs of flud at my joints when I get exposure.. that didn't go away.. but the continuous, constant bloating and swelling did.. Thats also when I moved out of the moldy apartment.. that might have had something to do with it.... They were also numb and cold.. do you have that? Do they cramp a lot? I was lucky enough to hit on experiment with n-acetylcysteine, acetyl-l-carnitine, and alpha-lipoic acid? (in addition to the more common antioxidants, C, E, selenium, zinc) at that time, and even though the other mold symptoms were very bad at that time, they seemed to help my swollen feet and cramping when I had them.. Oh, and also I started taking lots of fish oil around then..too..as " the fat " to make the bile flow, an hour after the cholestyramine.. Ask your doctor.. If I were you, I would not give up on cholestyramine. I know that for me, the issues I get from exposures are much worse without it. Its a very real danger. Guest guest
They were also numb and cold.. do you have that? Yes, but not all the time. Do they cramp a lot? Not as much, but yes, They SWELL and I get these electrical explosions. They got better for a while, but they are now getting worse again. It seems like within 30 minutes of taking the CSM, my feet start swelling more and the pain worsens. I have been taking alpha-lipolic acid since November, but have been advised NOT to take the fish oil. What is this experiement with acetylcystein, acetyl-I-carnitine? What are these things? I am taking a Natures Own Women's vitimine because I understand that CSM depletes your body of certain vitimines. Recently, my triglicerides shot up to almost 2000. I am afraid to call my doctor's office. He is very impatient and so is his staff. I am pretty much on my own. He wants me to start this diet that makes absolutely no sense. It is a diet book written by him several years ago and doesn't even mention mold or toxins. The instructions were not to eat anything grown underground, flour, wheat, barley, etc, however, the book has recipes for such things as potato salad, shrimp bread, other recipes call for flour as an ingredient or ginger root. Very mixed messages and I simply want to feel better. I don't know what to do at this point. I am still taking the CSM, but again, it seems to make me feel worse now. Food has something to do with all this, hot food, not spicy, but temperature, sometimes I get relief after eating a hot meal. Mornings are agony, afternoons are better, evenings are dark zones. Guest guest
You should talk to Dr. Shoemaker. I am not a doctor and have no idea what to tell you on this. Most doctors have not been told anything about mold and they also often have an arrogance that comes with making a lot of money to do what works for maybe 90% of the time, but when they encounter a situation that is different, they often don't know and wont admit it. Guest guest
ok, thought I'd share this, I didn't want to take the previcid (spelling) and forgive me if I dont give the proper names on these two prescriptions,I posted what they were, sometimes takes me awhile to get the names soaked into my head. anyway, so I tried takeing only the CSM and sorbatol. didn't do to well on my stomach. I had to stop for a day. yesterday I took the previcid and later started back on the csm and sorbital, so far it has helped with the stomach. I knew I was probably going to have to take it but had to try it without first. --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > > You should talk to Dr. Shoemaker. Guest guest
Hang in there with the CSM!! I took it as directed and but up with the bloating and other problems that went away after a week or two. Hope it works as well for you as it did for me. I still take it daily. I get tired of drinking it but it keeps me well. Good luck! Sue I'm doing ok with it, better than the first dose. not bothering my stomach as bad now.
