Guest guest Posted July 23, 2008 Report Share Posted July 23, 2008 Todd in TN, I have been thinking about that insulation at the bottom and it may be just to keep the heat of the coils away from the bottom of the cold cabinet which probably has its own sealed insulation. You can check this by looking. If the insulation is just for the heat exchange coil, removal would not result in condensation, just a loss in efficiency due to heating the bottom of the cold cabinet.
