Guest guest
What kind of behavior issues developed? My DD too had behavior problems and agression from the mirilax so just asking for clarity. My daugther's dr. put her on 2,000 IU of vitamin D3 and 100 MCG of Selenium. She's also on a totally new diet to avoid food allergies and allergy shots. So far so good. We aren't seeing a difference yet in her enco issues (she's still going during her normal sit times or having a suppository or will have an accident if we don't), but she's had great behavior since these changes. (she was kicked out of a few summer camps due to being explosive and agressive at times but sweet as peaches most of the day...so far nothing of the sort since starting this). I'm not sure if not having that explosive tendency we were seeing is from one thing or a combo of what we are doing? We've only been at this a few weeks and I'm hopeful it has an effect on the enco eventually too. I looked up what Selenium is used for and it says rids cells of damaging free radicals do it's supposed to rid substances from the body. Even though it's been 8-9 months since she's used mirilax, maybe it's ridding anything still in her system if that's possible? To: miralax Sent: Saturday, August 25, 2012 5:30 PMSubject: polyethylene glycol in unrelated meds I have not posted in a long time, we are still struggling with the behavior issues that developed after my dd had a severe reaction to miralax. what is hardest for me is that all the doctors I have taken her to the best I have got from them, is for one to admit that she may be allergic to PEG, mostly they have been very rude or just dissmissive now my daughter is 13 and the anxiety she has is getting out of hand so her dr. put her on celexa when I talked to her pharmasist about what is in it he told me I pretty much had no choice but polyethylene glycol or nothing from the pharmacy. I need some advice I cant afford a holistic dr.( I only know of one in my state, she is very pricey)and the dr doesnt seem interested in anything anti-big pharma
Guest guest
My granddaughter had explosive behavior from the Miralax and it took 4-5 months for all the meltdowns to disappear. I'm convinced that having her drink lemonade, made with fresh lemons, helped her get better quicker. It's been 6 months since she last took Miralax, and the only effect left that I can detect is the chewing on her fingers. Guest guest
Kay, my boys were put on miralax for 5 and 7 years! We had all crazy behaviors happen. I have spent the last year of my life (gave up everything) to recover my kids form this craziness! We are definitely in a better place. But in my research I am killing parasites in my children as we speak!!!! I kid u not! Miralax destroyed my boys gut and now the parasites that everyone has in their gut goes into the blood stream and finds new homes in our organs and tissues! So once u get leaky gut and a compromised immune system, which miralax did to my boys now we are dealing with parasites, yeast, and bacteria overgrowth. I just got my oldest son stool test back on Friday and we have made progress. He has a protozoa still but its at a 1 rating. His yeast is at a 1 and his bacteria is at a 2. This rating is form o-4 (o being no growth and 4 being heavily infested). My point in telling u this is chewing on fingers is a sign of parasites!!!!! It is in everyone's best interest to do 1 or 2 times a year parasite cleanses!!!! Its safe and good for our bodies! I hope this helps! Guest guest
the night me dd had miralax she began haveing vivid and terrifing( even to me) nightmares the anxiety and panic is still with her but she occasionally has what she calls bad thoughts, and she gets angry sometimes its like a normal teenager other times it seems like she is generaly afraid someone will hurt her if she doesnt hit first, this got her in trouble in school last year when a girl pushed her out of the way and in responce my daughter grabbed her by the jacket and left a mark on her neck > > What kind of behavior issues developed? I looked up what Selenium is used for and it > says rids cells of damaging free radicals do it's supposed to rid substances from the body. Even though it's been 8-9 months since she's used mirilax, maybe it's ridding anything still in her system if that's possible? > > > ________________________________ > > To: miralax > Sent: Saturday, August 25, 2012 5:30 PM > Subject: polyethylene glycol in unrelated meds > > >  > I have not posted in a long time, we are still struggling with the behavior issues that developed after my dd had a severe reaction to miralax. what is hardest for me is that all the doctors I have taken her to the best I have got from them, is for one to admit that she may be allergic to PEG, mostly they have been very rude or just dissmissive > now my daughter is 13 and the anxiety she has is getting out of hand so her dr. put her on celexa when I talked to her pharmasist about what is in it he told me I pretty much had no choice but polyethylene glycol or nothing from the pharmacy. Guest guest
We have also had great success with homeopathy for anxiety - aconite for general and gelsemium for anxiety about upcoming events. Homeopathy is a wonderful branch of natural medicine and it is super-affordable - about 6.00 a vial. Carol
