Treating bad bacteria. We are having this problem, too!

Hello!

Every time we start our son on OLE, he gets a big rise in cognition

but then starts having OCD issues as well. I have seen this pattern

occur three times. This happens even with Diflucan on board.

I have gotten rid of the OCD twice on my with one week on Ceftin with

tons of probiotics on board. We have a reserve of this antibiotic in

our possession in case our son starts showing symptoms of lyme (he

presented with the rash in October of 2007 and we treated it pretty

aggressively at that time).

Two weeks back on OLE, and school is " wowed " by his changes in

cognition, but now every light in the house has to be on and he is

obscessed with flushing the toilet over and over again.

I am thinking that the antifungal/antiviral combo is stirring up some

bad bacteria. I have been giving him GSE is hopes that this might

help, but to no avail. He is has been on SCD for 14 months but has

had some infractions at school. Even with enzymes, the " baddies "

could have been fed.

What can I try to use to get rid of these behaviors besides the

antibiotic? I read up on Goldenseal but do not like some of what I

saw, so I would rather not go in that direction.
