Guest guest
It sounds like you also have finicial problems, the cheapest way to test is petry dishes. Lowes carries them. Leave them out for 20min. Put the date and time and location on the bag. double bag them. If you can't afford to test them at a lab, save them. Take pictures in case you do go the legal route. I pray that you get out soon and be very careful what you take with you. Cross contamination can be just as bad. the research says that 40% of cancers are cuased by fungi. Autopsies have proven this, so you want to get out as soon as possible because there is no quick way to remedy this and many time if there is obvious mold, there is hidden mold that you need cooperation of landlord to find which you are not likely to get, so you should want to vacate as soon as you can. Go to legal aid society, they deal with renters rights and there are published renters rights for your locality. Others here may know where to get those. I haven't ever used them. Although it may be hard to feel lucky right now: be glad you don't own the property because right now you would have a very hard time getting rid of it. You are in an enviable situation in that you can leave and the mold is someone else's problem. My own house was my source of illness. Before leaving you may want to have apartment tested in case you need to prove reason you are sick and not able to pay rent is due to apartment if you want to pursue that. Whether it is cause is probably a mix between how long you have been there and how bad mold problem is, and if you were in good health when you moved in and can prove that. > > we rent a house in florida I was recently diagnosed with Cancer , my > house is full of black mold , can the cancer be caused by the mold >
Guest guest
Yes my finacial situation stinks right now.....I looked around at some apartments online last night and found quite a few... cheaper than what I am paying for this place.... the mold is in the bathroom , it is in the closet where the airconditioner leaks , and when it all leaks it all heads for my sons bedroom....weve had to throw out a lot of clothes toys , books , sheets , I cant keep up with it... I have 2 big pieces of my sons closet door in a plastic bag that is pure mold black mold ... I think that in itself will show how much damage there is to this place , that also could be why he wants us out of here now that I know and he knows I know ...Im going to spend the day tommorrow at the different charieites , I want to get out of this place , I dont care what I have to leave behind if its contaminated with mold then I dont want it coming with us......I think if I took the closet pieces to tehe housing authority wouldnt they be able to test it and see what it is? I try to keep my sons room closed off so that I dont get any sicker. I never would of thought for a minute that I would be in this position ...... my exroomate got into my bank account and stole 27thousand , hes in jail now which does me no good , its not replacing the money, and because I trusted him and gave him the pin number the bank wont stand behind me.....hes considered an authorized user , but he did admit that he did it without my [permission] but now I need it to move out of here....you guys are right though Thank God this place isnt mine... Thanks & God Bless From: barb1283 <barb1283 (DOT) com> Subject: [] Re: My House Date: Sunday, July 13, 2008, 7:24 AM Very definately mold can cause cancer.
