Guest guest
I don't know anything about Xolair, but steriods suppress his immune system. Have you consulted with any alternative doctors. I don't trust pharmaceutical companies to help. Their drugs seem to make you stay sick, while feeling temporarily better. I don't trust their test results because companies that do the testing are not independent. Pharmaceuticals pay for the company to research their own drugs and the testing company is anxious to please their clients. They aren't tested by independent scientific organization. I've read doctors themselves take and give to their own families older, more tried and tested medicines, rather than the new stuff. It might be a miracle drug though. Would be the exception these days but could be. Perhaps trying him on CSM powder and detoxing may bring down his inflamation. I know ascorbic acid powders are anti-inflamatories but I couldn't suggest a treatment of course but I have reservations about " anti- " medicines, called " allopathy " , which is traditional medicine. Vit C and other natural anti-inflamatories work by boosting the immune system which seems like it would be better way to attack than suppressing immune system. This is where I depart from Dr Shoemaker also. He prescribes anti- inflamatories in some cases. He's not a naturopath or alternative doctor. He researches and treats toxic illness using traditional pharmacy medicines. I have a great deal of trouble with summertime mold and body inflamation myself that I haven't solved but two things, I have spent more time on my house than my health, and two, I'm still experiencing too much exposure to mold. I think eventually moving out of moldy Ohio River Valley might be a necessity for me. I know I have offered no solutions but hopefully some food for thought. --- In , " fletch_82000 " <fletch_8@...> wrote: > > Hi Group, > > Been I long time since I have posted here. Guest guest
Incidentally, I have the utmost respect for Dr Shoemaker but personally I am trying to stay away from allopathy. The use of CSM powder isn't allopathy, even though it is a pharmaceutical drug, since it would be 'helping' the body do what it wants to do, and what is good for it, detoxing the liver; whereas anti-inflamatories that suppress the immune system would be allopathy and that is where I'm not sure is a good thing. Just to be more clear. I have had success with CSM powder. > > I don't know anything about Xolair, but steriods suppress his immune > system. Guest guest
Hi,I have high IgE mold levels/anaphylaxis, I don't believe that anaphylaxis has anything to do with allergies itself but nay be a toxic exposure reaction. I an hopeing the CSM will help with this I fell that with the toxic encephalpathy the anaphylaxis shot given in emergency could be very dangerous as it could cause a heart attack or stroke in some patients and toxic mold exposed patients might be the ones at risk. I'm not much of a believer in medicines as they are not a cure and can sometimes cause more damage than good. daily sinus washing can help greatly with allergy, irritant and some toxic exposures and can help stop or slowdown many effectd if done right after you know you've gotten ex[psed to something. sometimes it also takes a shower and changeing cloths. how old os your son? thos is just some other alternatives to think about. practiceing advoidance of many chemicals, perfumes ect. exspecially in the home can help greatly relieve suffering too. if he is old enough to be able to reconize a exposure and wash his sinuses quickly afterwards it may save him alot of suffering, while it may not stop anaphylaxis effects it may help. you might have to do it for him if he goes down hard like I do sometimes where I cant really talk and dont have the ability to get in the shower or do anthing else. the main idea is to get what ever went up his nose washed out and out of his hair, off his cloths and skin and out of his area. this is just something you may want to consider and experment with as a alturnative and see how it goes, maybe it can help. I hope he is old enough to talk and tell you whats helping and whats not. I fell so bad about children who have to suffer with this illness. of he is in school and suffers there I would consider home schooling seriously. washing the sinuses only helps if you get away frin whats causeing the reaction. --- In , " fletch_82000 " <fletch_8@...> wrote: > > Hi Group, > > Been I long time since I have posted here.
