Guest guest
Hi Tori, I can totally relate to how relieved you feel today. I know how you have been counting the days. Our last school day is not until the last day in June, and now I have had to take on full time support role for next year from half time as my husband has been out of work for over a year. Not sure how I will fit in the commitment to continue being there for Mom, year after year. I went into half time work as I burned out doing the full time and being there for Mom so will truly have to pace myself. Meanwhile, your FIlL will definitely benefit from your time devoted to him. Enjoy the time with him as you envision. As well, I hope your daughter rebounds successfully from her surgery. I hope this is the end of it for her and she can achieve a life free from from pain with better mobility. Your writing career sounds exciting and power to you! So many positives happening for you. You go girl! , Oakville Ont. Mom 92, 12 1/2 years " Parkinsons " 3 1/2 years ago LBD diagnosis, evident much longer in hindsight. Encouraged to give up her licence 6 years ago. Currently immobile, in tilt wheelchair, spoonfed pureed food. Spends most of days behind closed eyes. It was nice but I am so relieved to be out of there. I could really use your prayers and positive thoughts this next week. My 7 year old has to have surgery to remove the pins and plates the doctors put in last summer. They say it will take an hour and she should be home that night. Poor angel gets herself all worked up and has all sorts of fears when it comes to the hospital, which I don't blame her one bit. She's been in and out so many times since she was first born. So I just ask for it to go quickly and smoothly. I want her to be at peace and feel secure during this time of recovery too. Her surgery is on May 30 at 8 am. And I can work at home and at my own pace as long as I finsih the course in two years. The Guild is run by Jerry , I don't know if your familiar with him, he co wrote all the " Left Behind " series. Anyway, I just thought I'd share that with you all. Maybe someday I will write a story about LBD? Who know's. But there you have it. Well I must to go now. I need to take the outlaws, really in-laws, out to an appt today and run some errands. Take care all. And I love you all deeply. Tori Welcome to LBDcaregivers. Guest guest
Tori- I will be keeping you and your daughter in both my thoughts and prayers. I always turn to this group for spiritual and emotional help. XOXOXO Gerry Wilmington, De. Daugher and caregiver of Dick Deverell, who died on 9/11/05 after more than a 4 yr. battle with LBD. Nothing big but I could use your prayers and positive thoughts Hi all, Well yesterday was my last day at school. I made it! Shew! The teachers that I work with were very bummed to hear that I wasn't coming back next year as an aide, but they all said I was doing the right thing to help care for my FIL.
