Guest guest
Hi Everyone We have a new family joining us. Here is what Suzanne had to say... My name is Suzanne Wingard. I am a new mom to a 9 month old girl named Zoe. Zoe was born on 7-16-07 (at 36 weeks) with mosaic Downs syndrome and a complete AV canal defect. We were unaware of both until the day she was born. She had heart surgery in Jan to repair the hole and is recovering well. She is now sitting unsupported and showing signs of wanting to crawl. It has been remarkable watching her cope with all of this since birth (and even before since my pregnancy was a difficult one). Zoe is my invitro baby after 3 failed IUIs. I went on bed rest at 20 weeks due to premature labor and contractions. Through it all, I have been in awe with my happy, strong, determined little girl. I look forward to getting to know more families with similar experiences and hope to learn more about raising a child with MDS Welcome to our family Suzanne! I am so glad you have joined us! Please feel free to ask any questions you have. We will all be very happy to share our experiences! Guest guest
Hi Suzanne welcome to you an Zoe to our group. Zoe sounds like she is doing great now. I am sure in a very short time she will be crawling and soon after walking. Then you will be saying 500 times a day, " no don't touch that " and " take that out of your mouth " . You think you have everything baby proofed and they seem to be able to find and show you all of the things you missed. Please feel free to join in to all of the discussions, ask questions and give advice. I too am pretty new to this and my daughter is my first so I am always asking questions.
