My neighbor who has cancer, another flood and Serious Denial!

I recently found out that my neighbor who lives in the upstairs unit

above mine is fighting cancer and just two days ago her kitchen sink

flooded over and the water leaked into my kitchen from the light

fixture. This makes this the 5th or 6th flood since I've lived here

since Oct. 1995. All the units have had flooding and/or leaks.

My mom keeps asking me why no one else is sick but me but everyone

one who has lived here in this building is sick or has had symptoms

but everyone is in denial. My uncle who lives in the first unit (it's

a 3 unit building) has had depression, sleep disturbances, diarrhea,

headaches, etc. Now the neighbor upstairs who has been living here

for about 6 years has come down with cancer (and she's undergoing

chemo and radiation, yikes!). My sister and her family had symptoms

when they lived here but are in denial that it was the apartment even

though when they moved, and now have since been gone for 6 years,

their symptoms have either disappeared or have not worsened and even

gotten better.

I, of course have been diagnosed with Mycotoxicosis, CFS, etc. And my

daughter of course has had all the same symptoms as I have.

This is a very sick building! Yet, my uncle and my mother who own the

apartment and my sister who used to live here are in serious denial

that it's the building making everyone sick!

How can I convince these people that it's the building making them

sick? They don't understand that not everyone will have the exact

same symptoms nor will they have the same severity of symptoms.

If, I could afford it I would love to pay for someone to come in and

check this whole building for toxic mold; each unit not just my unit.

My unit tested high for aspergillus, plus stachy was found along with

other molds.

I'm hoping my lawyer will be able and willing to help me with this

matter. When I go to see him I'm going to explain all this to him. I

have no doubt that we would be able to prove that this building is

sick or maybe he could help me get the city involved in getting this

building condemned!

Wish me luck, I'm tired but I know I have to keep fighting and I will

fight to the end even though my character has been slandered in a

court of law. It's hurtful but I know it's not really personal " they "

are just doing what they have been paid to do and that's tear us down!

But, as h sings in her song Can't Take That Away, they can say

anything they want to say, try to bring me down but I will not allow

anyone to succeed hanging clouds over me. And they can try hard to

make me feel that I don't matter at all but I refuse to falter in

what I believe 'cause there's a light in me that shines brightly...

They can say anything they want to say, try to break me down but I

won't face the ground I will rise, steadily, sailing out of there

reach....!

We will make it Through The Rain!
