Guest guest
I just wanted to chime in on this. I was on Synthroid for several years with wildly fluctuating TSH levels. Three miscarriages in 13 months. I switched to Armour and got pregnant again, now I am 29 weeks pregnant. I am taking 180 mg aka 3gr per day. Personally this is the most stable my thyroid has ever been. I too have never heard of that type of dosing with meds, but it might work well for you. =) To: Thyroiditis Sent: Tuesday, February 14, 2012 6:52 PM Subject: Re: brand & t3 question Hi! Thank you for answering my questions. That information definitely helps. Yes, it is compounded strengths. I wasn't aware that it was unusual -- in your opinion is it "bad"? > > > > Hi everyone! > > > > I am hoping you can help me. My doctor prescribed me a t3/t4 combination: 7/40 mcg of levothyroxine and I can't remember the t3 drug but it was a levo something. I would like to become pregnant soon. I am wondering a couple of questions: > > > > 1) Which brand is safest to use while you are pregnant? > > 2) Is it safe to use t3 while pregnant? > > > > (And yes, I am going to wait to see how my body reacts to everything and bring my numbers in a good range before I am even going to try to get pregnant!) > > > > Thanks so much for your help! > > >
