Guest guest
I read a longer article about this two days ago. If you read the headlines alone, it would seem like a very bad precedent which could create a policy where any student with Aspergers Syndrome is denied student loans due to risk. However, she was 63 at the time the case was heard in court, and has some significant life long disabilities. - Helen > > Law Student's Debt Forgiven Over Asperger's Syndrome > > http://www.myfoxmemphis.com/dpps/news/law-student-debt-forgiven-over-aspergers-d\ pgonc-20120522-kh_20151648 > > Comments? > > >
Guest guest
Note the first and only [as yet] comment to this article. Reference to the National Law Journal article reveals that the woman got her GED very late in life, and doesn't say anything about her undergraduate education (a BA/BS degree is required for all ABA certified law schools)or much about her post-lawschool experience other than to suggest that all later efforts at education didn not get her meaningful employment. My question very much tracks that of the first commenter: What in the world was going on in this person's family or support system to have allowed this degree of imbecility to have run unchecked for so long?
