Stick that in the area where the discoloration is and see if ther e is any moistire inside. Being from Atlanta I can tell you wou might be suprised at what you might find behind the paper. That is cheap and quick. As far as drywall. My parents found " Dens armor plus, moisture & mold resistant " Paperless sheet rock at Lowes. For those of you who want another option.
