Guest guest
I also found this: http://www.answers.com/topic/phenylalanine aspartame contains phenylalanine l- phenylalanine (natural form as a supplement) is used mostly for depression, mood, etc. d-phenylalanine (synthetic form of phenylalnine) is used mostly for pain management And it's the phenylalanine that causes me side effects such as nightmares, headaches so I don't know if I'd want to try the d- phenylalanine to manage my pain. > > Isn't phenylalanine the same as aspartame? Guest guest
You are confusing aspartame with phenylalanine.. Phenylalanine is an amino acid.. its a protein in food.. You shouldn't take it in the evening.. it will compete with tryptophan for transport..
