aspartame contains phenylalanine

l- phenylalanine (natural form as a supplement) is used mostly for

depression, mood, etc.

d-phenylalanine (synthetic form of phenylalnine) is used mostly for

pain management

And it's the phenylalanine that causes me side effects such as

nightmares, headaches so I don't know if I'd want to try the d-

phenylalanine to manage my pain.

You are confusing aspartame with phenylalanine..

Phenylalanine is an amino acid.. its a protein in food..

You shouldn't take it in the evening.. it will compete with tryptophan

for transport..

No I'm not confusing aspartame with phenylalanine. I was just stating

that aspartame contains phenylalanine.
