Guest guest
There is no 'fresh' air here in July and August and even Sept in the Ohio River valley and the humidity would make it impossible. I ***started*** where you are at. I started to solve by bringing in fresh air in the summer. It worked in winter but not in summer. You stick to the same point over and over again. I don't have altzheimers disease. At least not yet. *It's 15 pounds of powder activated charcoal. That IS alot. It makes the air smell wonderfully fresh, slightly sweet at times though, but I still think I would prefer to have less expensive filter I can afford to replace more frequently. --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > > The only thing that will make air " fresh " is to EXCHANGE it for FRESH > air... ideally in a balanced fashon to prevent condensation inside the > walls.. >
Guest guest
Okay, " outdoor " air.. But honestly, its easy to filter as you bring it in, and usually, filtered or unfiltered, better than stale indoor air.. How much do the charcoal cartridges cost, and how much does the HEPA part of it cost? > *It's 15 pounds of powder activated charcoal. That IS alot. Guest guest
I have a fresh air intake with tight filter on it, tied right into cold air return since 2005. It was first thing I did for house air q, but I have to shut it off in summer. I learned that from experience. I have to shut it off or I cannot get house humidity down below 50%. --- In , LiveSimply <quackadillian@...> wrote: > >honestly, its easy to filter as you bring it in, and usually, > filtered or unfiltered, better than stale indoor air.. >
Guest guest
the cracks in the floor where the tounge and grove flooring has seperated can be filled with wood fill, even matched to the color of the floors so that it's not noticable.
