Guest guest
Ginny, I know what you say to be true. Occupational medicine is the most conflicted practice out there because their true purpose is to limit financial liability from worker injury for insurers and employers. One way to do that is to make the work place safe and thus reduce worker illness and injury. Another way to do that is to deny that the work place is the cause of illness or injury. It is disgusting how much control occupational medicine has been able to exhibit over other medical practices thru their writing policy for the treatment of injured workers. ACOEM is the worst and have been caught writing guidance with far too much industry influence on MANY occassions. They are mentioned in the book " Doubt is their product " no less than four times as producing a shoddy, industry friendly journal.
