Guest guest
I asked my Doctor to prescibe it for me because of the toxic mold exposure. Its in the same class of meds as Diflucan and Sporonox. Its an anti-fungal med. Guest guest
EE Are you going to an environmental doc, or what kind? Most doctors reject idea of illness from toxic mold. How long before you started feeling better? thanks > > I asked my Doctor to prescibe it for me because of the toxic mold exposure. Its in the same class of meds as Diflucan and Sporonox. Guest guest
No kidding on most Docs rejecting the idea of toxic mold illness!!! I was not treated with meds even 4 years after i moved out of the sick buliding and that is including seeing atleast 3 doctors in that time. I even took the positive test results from the lab showing abnormal amounts of toxic mold to them. They just didnt know how to treat it, and i guess didnt think about possibly treating with anti-fungal meds or just didnt believe that toxic mold was that much of a health threat. Whatever!! But i have the same reactions from friends and family regarding the " not serious " mind set when thinking of toxic mold exposure. Just last night i was talking to someone about toxic mold and he says " does it make you dumb or what " . Such innocent ignorance. I found a Doctor willing to prescribe cholestyramine and anti-fungal meds before i spent any more money on Doctor visits. I didnt/dont have health insurance so i had no choice but to express my wanted treatments over the phone with the Docs office before i made an appointment. Seems like Docs will listen more to their patients while they are trying to set your appointment for the first time. Before the actual visit in my experience. Luckily i called Dr Camp of Mill Valley California which specialises in Immune Modulation(whatever that is) but previously had had a few converstations with Dr Shoemaker and was willing to follow Shoemakers advice. Dr. Camp has treated multiple patients for toxic mold exposure although he specialises in other areas of medicine. But at this point we are all grabbing Docs from the bottom of the inexperience barrell. And as long as i got the right meds (i was on my death bed) i didnt care if i was seeing Dr Jekyl or Mr Hyde, whoever had the prescrip book at that moment in time, thats who i was seeing. And at this point i didnt care about brain scans, tests, opinions or whatever. I just wanted to get the poisen out of my body in the most expedient fashion. But Dr. Camp is a great Doctor. I was on Lamisil for two days and i noticed a huge difference!!!!!!!!! Only two days!! After two days most of my brain fog was gone and my speech began to improve dramatically. It even helped with my anxiety which was through the roof!! I once had a panic attack that lasted for three days straight. On the third day i was like " God if you dont help me now im taking my life " . And i meant it. I was truly truly mentally suffering before the drug treatments. I will never forget it. I would def recommend Lamisil to any one exposed to toxic mold as its cheap and readily available and is an antifungal med and you know ifs its working or not within a few days or weeks. I will do this cycle again for one more month. I was just laying in bed last night thanking God that its working for me. I was thanking him with a clear mind which after 4 years of extreme brain fog was, well i savored the beautiful moment. Its an answer to a prayer to find the right meds. Thank God!! Elias p.s. Please let me know if you try it and your results as well.
