Guest guest
Val - Not sure where to ask my adrenal questions any more so I thought I would start here - but give me a link if I should take my question somewhere else. I stopped taking T3 in hopes that I could take selenium. This didn't work but I tried brewers yeast which is loaded in b complex - wow!!! (I could never take brewers yeast while i was taking thyroid meds - always had bad reaction) I felt great...for a while. Then I noticed i was having some really bad reactions to things high in potassium. Adrenals right? So I added magnesium - bad reaction. Zinc - bad reaction. Salt - not so sure. Vitamin c - can't find bowel tolerance. Now the b complex doesn't seem so effective. I have this sensation that all of my minerals are right at the upper limit. Does this make any sense? Still having too many soft BM's with undigested food, sweating, really dry skin, irritability comes and goes and so does my insomnia and bloating plus I have bouts of excessive urination. I sometimes think most anything I eat causes a reaction depending on its mineral content. My temps do not move, either with or without t3 but exercise causes my temps to drop temporarily. Overall I feel better without t3 - more energy and my hair has stopped falling out - even though I have hashimoto's. Any ideas why my body is so over reactive to minerals. Does this maybe tie into a need for HCI? Other possibilities? Robin
Guest guest
Basic panels are misleading. It is the same as checking for serum iron when we know that Ferritin is what needs to be checked. Red blood cell analysis is what needs to be done to check the bodies store of minerals. Re: adrenal questions I would not guess or begin to try to guess about mineral levels espoecially the basic electrolytes. Get some testing done. An electrolyte panel is relatively cheap and it can be vital to what is going on. Your sensitivities sound more like cortisll issues ot meand if on HC have estrogen tested as that is a pretty accurate indicator of how your cortisol is doing. -- Artistic Grooming- Hurricane WV http://www.stopthet hyroidmadness. com/ http://health. groups.yahoo. com/group/ NaturalThyroidHo rmonesADRENALS/ http://health. groups.yahoo. com/group/ RT3_T3/
