Guest guest
My dad ran to the bathroom every 10 or 15 minutes when we used the anti-psychotic meds. 4 out of 5 times he didn't do anything but pass gas. Sometimes he'd stand up, look in the toilet and whisper 'nothing a'tall'. Other times, he'd remove his diaper and wet himself and everything along the way trying to get to the bathroom ... even though he was just in the bathroom a few moments before and didn't do anything. I suppose there are some bladder sensory issues with the meds, LBD or both. He still goes to the bathroom and doesn't do anything but there's a few hours in between trips. Sometimes he'll urinate in the downstairs bathroom then go upstairs for #2. I noticed that lately he gets confused and his personality changes when he has to go to the bathroom, especially for #2. If we can get him to go to the bathroom before he has to go, he's not confused. When we think he may need to go soon, we get his glasses and book and sit in the 'reading room' with him until something happens. Guest guest
Mother goes often but does unrinate everytime. I just figured that the reason she was peeing so often was because of her UTI. She wears depends and often #1 or #2's without even realizing it. Guest guest
With all the talk about frequent bathroom visits I figured that it was a good time to remind you all of the bladder meds to avoid: http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/LBDcaregivers/message/62093 http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/LBDcaregivers/message/62320 > > My dad ran to the bathroom every 10 or 15 minutes when we used the anti-psychotic meds. 4 out of 5 times he didn't do anything but pass gas.
