Guest guest
NH officials warn residents of mold problems Fox44 News - Colchester,Vermont* Associated Press - August 18, 2008 http://www.fox44.net/Global/story.asp?S=8858256 CONCORD, N.H. (AP) - New Hampshire environmental officials are warning state residents that mold can become a serious problem when the inside of a building becomes wet. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services is advising residents to dry out any materials damaged by water. Officials recommend bagging and removing porous materials with mold growth. Officials say nonporous surfaces, like hard plastic and concrete, be cleaned with detergent and water and then dried completely. Homes with earthy or musty smells may have mold problems. The department says mold is a source of indoor air pollution. Large amounts of it can cause health problems. It can also cause structural damage to homes.
