BAINBRIDGE - Pat Nicholson Brownhill, 61, of Bainbridge passed

away Wednesday, March 12, 2008 at Archbold Memorial Hospital. The funeral

service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Fellowship Baptist Church with interment

in Roselawn Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends today from 6:30 p.m.

to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Henry Butts Sr.

DAWSON - Dea. Henry Butts Sr., 70, of 2966 Sellers Road, Sasser,

GA died on Tuesday, March 11, 2008, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, March 15,

2008, at Countyline Missionary Baptist Church, Sasser, GA. Rev. Jack ,

pastor will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

Deacon Henry Lee Butts, Sr. was born August 30, 1937, to the late

Alice Clyde Butts and Ed Butts, Sr. in Terrell County, GA.

He attended the public schools of Terrell County, GA. He turned

his life over to the Lord at an early age and remained faithful until his sudden

demise.

In 1958, he met and married Juilldean Tell Butts and this union

was blessed with six children. In the early 1950s, he was ordained as Deacon and

served as chairman of the Good Hope Baptist Church, Dunkirk, NY. Dea. Butts also

managed and sang beside his brothers of the 'Dunkirk Spiritual Crusaders'.

He worked and retired from ECR International in 1999, formerly

known as the Dunkirk Radiator Corporation after 42 years of service. Shortly

after retirement, he and his wife moved back to Sasser, GA. Upon relocating, he

joined Countyline Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend

Jack and resumed his devoted and faithful duties as Deacon.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister,

Peonia and a brother, Butts, Sr.

An honest and trustworthy servant of the Lord, Dea. Butts leaves

to cherish his memories, his wife of forty-nine years, Juilldean Butts of

Dawson, GA; four daughters, Jeanette Butts and Butts, both of Dunkirk, NY,

Geneva () of Stafford, VA and Sandy (Deron) Dunbar of andria,

VA; two sons, Henry Lee Butts, Jr. of Dunkirk, NY and SGT E-5 Bernard

Butts stationed at Auburn, AL; two sisters, Mattie Bell Sheffield and Marie

of Sasser, GA; five brothers, Ed Butts, Jr. of Sasser, GA, Dea. Ernest

(Pearl) Butts of Brunswick, GA, Charlie (Jurabell) Butts and Butts, both of

Dunkirk, NY and Bill (Jackie) Butts of Buffalo, NY; a special niece,

Tell of Sasser, GA; two brothers-in-law, Freddy (Susie) Tell, Sr. and

(Mildred) McGill, both of Sasser, GA; eight sisters-in-law, Rosie Geddis, Eva

Mae Kendrick, Mollie Tell, Annie Pearl Tell and Carolyn (Ernest) Tell of Sasser,

GA, Mattie (Alonza) Lane of Greenville, SC, Tell and Betty Tell, both

of Dunkirk, NY; fourteen blessed grandchildren; two lovely great-grandchildren

and a host of wonderful cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.

QUITMAN - Minister Gilmore, 74, was born on February 29,

1934 to the parents of Mr. and Mrs. Realious Sloan in Lovett, FL. She has one

daughter, Zella Green. She attended school in County, GA. She accepted

the Lord at St. Methodist Church in Quitman, GA at an early age.

She was a cook, and also a private duty nurse. She was the number

one fisherman and has traveled across many waters. Minister Gilmore received her

minister's license in the early 1980's. On March 8, 2008, God called her once

again. Now she arises to worship with God in Heaven for eternity.

She leaves behind to celebrate her life's work; one daughter,

Zella Green of Albany, GA, six grandsons: Fredrick Green of Atlanta, GA,

Green (Elaine) of Arlington, TN, Green, Cornelius Green and Green

all of Albany, GA and Alton of Atlanta, GA; one aunt: Gladys Hooks of

Valdosta, GA; two special great granddaughters, Kadijah Green of Leesburg, GA

and Kalise Green of Dublin, GA; two special Goddaughters, Florence Hills of

Albany, GA and Willa Dean of Baconton, GA; 26 great grandchildren, 8

great-great grandchildren and a host of family and friends.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 1

p.m. at the New Birth Church of Albany, GA with Pastor L.B. Gardner officiating.

Burial will follow in the Floral Gardens Cemetery in Albany, GA.

Viewing and visitation will be held at the church beginning at

10:30 a.m. until funeral time.

Morningside Baptist Church with Rev. Leon VanLandingham and Rev. Joe Poitevint

Mrs. Poitevint was born August 25, 1925 in Colquitt County, GA,

the daughter of J. and Minnie Mae Hart. She was a retired seamstress with

Jack Winter, Inc. and a member of Morningside Baptist Church. She was preceded

in death by her husband, Cecil E. Poitevint.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Elaine

Poitevint of Bainbridge, GA, and Randy and Kathy Poitevint of Bainbridge, GA;

three sisters, Ruth Stinson of Cordele, GA, Jayn Almand of Cordele, GA, and

ine Hart of Yankeetown, FL; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Essie West Sheffield, 94, of Tallahassee, FL,

died March 6, 2008, at Margaret Dozier Hospice House in Tallahassee.

The funeral was held at 4 p.m. Monday at Culley's MeadowWood

Funeral Home-Riggins Road Chapel with burial in Roselawn Cemetery.

Essie W. " Sissie " Sheffield was born February 9, 1914, the third

child of W.R. and Pearl West. She married Elmer Sheffield Sr. on November 27,

1932. They moved from the farm to Tallahassee in May of 1939. She and her

husband owned and operated Sheffield Auto Truck Sales and Service,

(International Harvester Sales and Services until 1981). She was active in her

church, Lake Bradford Baptist, where she played the piano for thirteen years,

and also was a member of the WMU.

" Sissie " as she was known is survived by two sons, E.

Sheffield, Elmer Sheffield, Jr.; one daughter, S. ; three

daughters-in-law, Kay Oswalt, Margie Sheffield, Jan Sheffield, all of

Tallahassee; three sisters, Esther Godwin of Crawfordville, Marie Horton, Bobbie

Riggins, both of Tallahassee; two brothers, West and Edwin West, both of

Tallahassee; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.

Sissie was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Sheffield Sr.;

son, W. Sheffield; brother, J.C. West and her sister, Inez Grubbs.

Sissie loved her garden and flowers. She grew lots of tomatoes and

other vegetables for her family and friends. She will be missed by her family

and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lake Bradford Baptist Church

or Big Bend Hospice.

Sis. Annie Ree Lumpkin was born June 9, 1919, in Randolph

County, GA to the late Will Arthur and Annie Will Lumpkin.

At an early age, she accepted Jesus Christ and joined Oak Grove

Missionary Baptist Church, Shellman, GA. In later years, she moved her

membership to Beulahland Missionary Baptist Church, Dawson, GA. Sis.

also attended Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church, Terrell County, GA, until her

health failed.

She was educated in the public schools of Randolph County, GA. Her

employment was with Southern Cotton Oil Shelling Plant (presently Golden

Peanuts), Dawson, GA, for many years. She was a Virtuous Woman until her demise.

During her early years, she met and married the late Booker T.

, Sr. To this union, eleven children were born: Willie B. ,

Ann () Bridges and Shirley (Troy), all of Dawson, GA, Helen (Eddie)

of Bronwood, GA, Booker T. (Beulah) , Jr. and , both of

Albany, GA, Virginia Browner, Joyce and ny (Elecia) , all of

Atlanta, GA, Elder Max of Dublin, GA and Bettye of Daytona, OH.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death

by eight siblings.

A lifetime of wonderful memories are left to her eleven children;

twin sister, Marie Bridges of Albany; two other sisters, Iwilla and

, both of burg, PA; thirty-six grandchildren; a host of

great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including Ella

Chambers.

COLQUITT - Janie Inez Brunson Wolff, 94, of Colquitt died March

Born December 6, 1913, in County, Mrs. Wolff was a

homemaker. She was a member of Bellview Free Will Baptist Church.

grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Inez was preceded in death by the father of her children,

Bronnie O. Brunson and her second husband, Carl Wolff; two sisters, Lucille

Green and Marguerite Holt; two brothers, Curtis and Dewitt .
