On one of the top docs lists I saw the name of one of my worst endos.

Let me tell ya I contacted the keeper of the list and gave him/her an

earful and a half...

Say, I came across an interesting adrenal article this morning in my

search for more adrenal gland/sex hormones connection info:

http://www.fred.net/slowup/hai96.html

Here's a quote: " The adrenals have a close connection with the sex

glands. They produce about 25% of the female sex hormone in women and

65% of the male hormone in the man. " Pretty interesting, eh?

Sam :)

Ya, very interesting. This is WHY you want your adrenals in tip top

shape when going into meno...as you stop making hormones in the

ovaries, i'd asuume you'd want every chance you could to produce them

in the adrenal glands.

I read Hans Selye (also in this article) and used him for my masters

thesis in college (16 years ago!)... Does ANYONE here find any irony

in the fact that my master's degree was in psychology with a empahsis

and focus on stress management?

Ok, but to be fair, 16 years ago, we didn't study Jeffries (although

the study i have from him " Cortisol and Immunity " came out in July

1990) and I wasn't taught the connection to the sex hormones... just

stress, fight/flight, aging, mental health. still....you'd THINK I'd

have a few more smarts in this subject. (not.)

don't worry, I smack myself on the forehead at least once per day

exclaiming " Stooopid! " LOL
