Wish I'd known about the Epson salt and olive oil. I also had sludge and my

gall bladder was functioning at 17% by the time they removed it. One

question for the group..can you take cholestyramine without a gall bladder?

My PCP didn't think it would be effective.

My doctor prescribed cholestyramine to me after my gall bladder was

removed. This was before I got so ill with mold. I was having

stomach issues and cholestyramine is the number 1 product prescribed

for this. At first I did not understand why my doctor gave me the

cholesterol medication. I wish doctors would take a few minutes to

explain more. So yes, cholestyramine is used after gall bladder

removal, especially with the chronic diarrhea which some folks have

after having a gall bladder out.

How do you know if your gallbladder has sludge or it's functioning

below capacity?

I know my gallbladder area sometimes feels achy and I put heat on.

Sometimes after fatty meals it rebels, and I feel toxic and get a

headache.

Wow. Clearly the toxins keep circulating in the bile and destroy the

poor gallbladder.

You had a painful gallbladder attack and had to have it removed Live?

Did it just show 'sludge' before that, or did you have some other

symptoms before the pain?

I can and do take csm without a gall bladder-it is the only thing that

helps me stay healthy, when I stop taking it, I get sick-the liver

takes over the gall bladders job of dispensing bile into the digestive

track-the bladder is just that -a bladder for holding and squeezing bile

...can you take cholestyramine without a gall bladder?
