Had to pipe up here.

On a good day, with two NTs, 23 and 35 is a rough deal. You are just starting to figure out what you want, and he is more been there done that.

Before you start yelling, " But we are soul mates! The age difference doesn't matter. " I've been in relationships at your age, with that big of an age gap. I had my own place at 21, didn't count on mom or dad for anything, and had a good job. The reason I bring this up, I didn't need those guys financially. No dealings with my parents. No kids to support.  You add kids, parents mettling and  needing a guy to help, out all colors the relationship.

My boyfriend and I have been together for just under a year now. He is 35 years old and I am 23 years old. He has Aspergers Syndrome and I do not. We are always running into issues when it comes to him understanding me and the way we communicate is terrible. I love him so very much and don't want us to break up but with the path we are on now it looks like that might happen and it is all because we don't understand one another. I need some advise on how we can better communicate.
