Guest guest
When our Mom was admitted to the Nursing Home last summer, we were concerned about her trying to get out of the wheelchair, and falling. We certainly didn't want her tied up, maybe just a belt around her waist, so she couldn't fall out, and get hurt. We were told that they could not belt her in because that was considered restraining and that is against their rules, but once a person tries to get up and falls, a belt could be ordered! We have noticed, though, that they don't seem to mind using drugs as a form of retraint. Weird, huh? They also have an alarm attached to the patients, so that if they stand up or fall out of the wheelchair, an alarm goes off. Best wishes to everyone.
