Imagine living in a home where mold just keeps spreading. For eight

months, it's been a local family's nightmare.

They say they've contacted the property manager, but don't seem to

be getting anywhere. With no results, they called CBS 21.

Our news team tracked down the owner of that property to get answers.

" There is mold on the floor, tracking in the shower and paint chips

coming off the shower, " said , has mold in his home.

and his pregnant wife Carmeen first noticed the mold

in January and called maintenance to fix it.

" The maintenance did come over and said yep, that's mold, " said

.

" When I go in the shower, there is also mold behind the paint that

is chipping and it falls in my family's hair and is making me sick, "

said Carmeen , 's wife.

The couple recently complained again, but instead of help they

received an eviction letter. It stated they have 30 days to move

out. According to the rules at Riverview Heights Apartments in

Cumberland County, there are only four people allowed to live in one

unit.

Carmeen is pregnant and in January that would make five. Property

managers say it's the reason for the eviction letter. When we found

property owner, Kollas, CBS 21 asked him why they only have

30 days, if the baby isn't due until next year.

" No, the 30 days isn't firm. We'd work with her on that, as long as

she moves, " said Kollas, property owner.

He adds that he thought the mold problem was recent. And called the

same property manager, who told CBS 21 News that the mold was gone,

to clear things up.

" After Ewa was here, she investigated and said she saw the mold, so

we'll have to go over and do something about it, " said Kollas to his

property manager over the phone.

For the family, an extension on how long they can stay gives

them some relief. But they won't breathe easier, until all the mold

is gone. The property owner, Kollas, says he'll see to it

that the mold in the couple's bathroom is fixed as soon as possible.
