Guest guest
Anything that is prescribed by your doctor (DAN!) should be paid for thru your flexible spending account. In the past three years, we have paid for some of my son's HBOT with our flexible spending account. Our DAN! told me he has patients who have paid for infra-red sauna's with their flexible spending accounts because it was prescribed. IV? Suppositories? Are any supplements covered? Are any tests covered (stool, urine, blood)?I looked on the flex website and also called my DAN, but I haven't been able to find any answers from either source.Thank you,
Guest guest
I've gotten doctor fees, co-pays, lab fees, vitamins, minerals, glutathione cream, mag/sulfate cream, CLO, MB12 shots, compounded meds, etc., all covered under my FSA. It did require letters of medical necessity by his doctor for the supplements, but well worth it. We just planned out for next years and will be maxing it out knowing now that we can get all his supplements covered under it. Guest guest
I use it for supplements, Co-pays (for all medical tests, doc visits etc) - we don't chelate so, I cannot say. For supplements, you have to have something written down from your doc that he wants you to be taking it - it's then okay to submit but you will have to submit that your doctor has ordered a particular supplement. Guest guest
My account covers anything I have a script for including suppositories, IVs, supplements, etc. I just send in my receipts along w/proof of a doctor's rx or order. I have never had a problem. I usually am reimbursed in less than 2 weeks. It's one of the few things in my life that works perfectly and efficiently. -----Original Message-----From: mb12 valtrex [mailto:mb12 valtrex ]On Behalf Of HartmanSent: Monday, November 10, 2008 2:18 PMTo: mb12 valtrex Subject: Flex spending account Just wondering if any of you utilize a flex spending account for biomedical treatments. Are chelation medications covered? Guest guest
Don't know what kind of probiotics you use, but I can't get VSL#3 reinbursed because it's considered a "medical food"... Guest guest
My health insurance won't cover VSL3 but my flex spending account covers anything I submit (meaning all meds and supplements including VSL3) if I have an rx or doctor's note accompanying it.
