Toxic Substances Control Act

I just found out about these and am not sure if they have been brought up

before.

Right now there are 2 bills pending in the house and senate.

They are basically identical. Even though both houses are out on recess,

when they get back on 9/8 they need to hear from us. Unfortunately, nothing

can be done by them until the 8th, but that does not preclude them hearing from

their constituents!!

Call your congressional rep and both Senators and request that they sign

onto them.

Industry is already lobbying DC to have the bills defeated!!!! Campaign

contributions makes very STRANGE bedfellows and voting tendencies.

Already some republicans are claiming " the bill hasn't been finalized, there

will be amendments, deletions, so I will wiat for the final bill " . Don't

let them play that card. Nail them now so that they can't buy time.

Every incumbent wants to be re-elected...make them work for your vote.
