Guest guest
Hi - I was exposed to toxic mold - lived in it for at least 2.5 years. I since then -have been being treated for Lyme -- they are not sure that it is what it is but the symptoms seem to be as such - I have been using the Salt/C formula and have felt much better. Any suggestions - on anything else I should be doing to get this out of my system. I am no longer in that environment but I do have much of my things stored there. Thanks, Fez

Guest guest
Hi Fez, The common trends in medications prescribed for those who have been exposed to toxic mold is Cholestyramine and Anti Fungal meds. I would highly suggest both of them. And the sooner the better!! Also please consider trashing everything you left behind. You dont want to cross contaminate your new place with old toxic mold spores. The spores once they break from the original mold source and go airborne become 400x more toxic and attach themselves to everything, furniture, clothes etc.. I recommend to trash everything especially if your sick now. God Bless Eli

Obviously, tens or hundreds of thousands (quite possibly) patients can't go to one doctor, but Dr. S is such an expert and this is such a new field it really makes sense to connect your doctor up with him rather than stumble in the dark. If he/she wont take the time to call Dr. S, get another doctor. > Also please consider trashing everything you left behind. The crucial issue is not exposing yourself to your old stuff now, when you are trying to recover. Handling it = exposing yourself. If I was going to do it again, I would put everything in big trash bags, doubled up with a minimum of handling, and put that in a dry place for storage, wait at least two or three years and then, sort it all out *OUTSIDE* in the sun and fresh air, wearing a HEPA or P-100 mask.. DONT DEAL WITH IT FOR NOW.. Some will be washable, others things should go. Best not to anguish over it now, it will only make you sick. Deal with it then. MAKE SURE THE BAGS SEAL TIGHT.. The spores > once they break from the original mold source and go airborne become 400x > more toxic and attach themselves to everything, In the worst situations, the fungal material, fungal fragments do " coat everything " in a sense with a greasy, toxic film that makes people sick. But they don' t undergo some chemical transformation to become 400x stronger. The fragments and spores are already strong. And they often smell. furniture, clothes etc.. I > recommend to trash everything especially if your sick now. I would recommend minimizing your content with basically everything that cant be quickly washed with a minimum of skin contact, perhaps storing it in two or three plastic bags, one within another.. UNTIL YOU ARE WELL ENOUGH TO DEAL WITH IT BOTH PHYSICALLY AND EQUIPMENT WISE... Outdoors is very important.. otherwise the air will be contaminated and you may quite possibly revert to where you are now .. If your exposure is to mold and not lead paint, etc, cholestyramine is a proven way to reduce your inflammation level.. But you need to be under a doctors care.. Find a good one who is willing to learn.
