While not every child is positive for HHV-6 they may have HHV-7 or

HHV-8. Many children have low levels of natural killer cells showing

their bodies viral activity or that an immune process is going on.

Sadly showing that some are being mistreated

Remember Valtrex only works on a " Herpes " virus so if its working

something has to be there

I had never had chicken pox, and when I was 32 my dad got shingles,

and I actually caught chicken pox from him. I had no idea shingles

could be contagious. As you know, that virus can remain dormant

without someone showing visible signs of having it; so I would think

that it's entirely possible that your child contracted the virus from

you, but it may not have presented as outright chicken pox (rash,

etc.), but could be casuing his symptons. Seems to me that a trial of

some type of anti-viral or vitamin A high dose protocol (although vit

A may just target measles; not sure if it would target rubella) or

something would be in order. It's true that Stan Kurtz's son did not

test positive for viruses. Do you have a DAN who can advise you?
