I read their web site, and a lot of it makes sense, but, IMHO, the page

dealing with " degassed systems " is pure crappola.

Well I'm happy with my computers now although my ultraportable is kind

of slow. Considering all the stuff on computers, and the hassle of

upgrading to a new computer, I think upgrading by parts is a good idea.

Somebody off list wrote me. I won't say his name but I did not

appreciate his email. I said I would probably just replace my

motherboard with a better one at some point. Apparently he does not

like that idea??? He is " freaked out " about it??? He has a

" proprietary " process that I should, I guess, just pay out the $ and

trust:

" We use techniques we have learned over 14 years of outgassing

We don't tell you, they are proprietary, but we've done 30,000 systems

This business to changing this board and that board freaks me out at

many levels, technically, software wise and chemically wise

We sell systems that are professionally degassed but also we know them

and we work with hundreds of people till we find one that works

You can send us your system or get one from us. "

I have a Dell that has metal casing. I find the plastic casing on the

new computers a problem. I never had a problem with my IBM

ultraportable, but I don't know what the new ones are made of. I never

experienced an actual " reaction " to any LCD monitors, though I

understand that they have phthalates etc that get airborne.
