Hi,

Rice is very constipating, and it is useful to treat diarhea. When I

was in active mode from the mold, I also could not keep on any weight

and had no appetite. Shoemaker does talk about it some, and for those

of us like that, eating more good fats is a good idea. Also heard from

Dr Croft on a web radio show that it also works that way in animals

exposed to moldy feed. He says it has more to do with breathing it in,

and it washing down the sinuses into the gut- it affects the gut, and

the mood, etc.

I ate a modified candida diet, as was suggested on this list, since I

am a vegan, it was perhaps more complicated for me, but the basics are

the same, more protein and vegetables... no sugar, no starch, I did

eat some grains with beans. But a dinner plate with 2 piles of veges

and one of protein (for me that was sauteed tofu with turmuric to make

it yellow, and salt) is a very good meal for anyone. I feel so much

better eating this diet that I am still on it some years later (3,

4?). I love Rice dream, but can not much stand soy milk, so I use that

in the morning, then drink a lot of water. I like purified water, it

was also suggested here that I stop drinking tap water with the

chlorine and floride- those minerals replace others that we need more,

like iodine.

I hope you feel better soon,

Oh, I also took supplements to help rebuild, and it turns out they are

all listed in the book by Tietlebaum (sp?) From Fatiuged to

Fantastic. There are some basic things there that are very helpful for us.

-i realize that we are eating way too much rice as in macaroni and

rice its self. and yes i wash the rice before i cook it. and wash

the macaroni after i cook it. taste like glue. i would just rather

have salad or a potato and veggies and of course a piece of chicken.

and olive oil and lots of garlic. apparently potatos are ok once in

awhile and the book recomends clarified butter to get rid of the

sugar in the butter so we did that. no vinigar or anything containg

vinigar. makes salad a bit boring but i throw some flax in there and

some crackers that are wheat free and have lots of flax and stuff.

we are following a diet that is in the candida something or other

cookbook. the rice milk is good but i still like lactate all natural

cows milk and dont understand why thats not allowed. anyone?

On salad that you put olive oil but no vinegar, try sprinkling with a

bit of sea salt and other spices. That can be good. I have some

oatmeal cereal once in awhile and missed sugar on it, but found a

little butter and sea salt was good. Sometimes something salty makes

up for sweet. Also sea salt is good in lemon to make lemonade instead

of sugar. It takes the acidity of the lemon down and makes the lemon

taste sweeter. That works on grapefruit also. Sprinkle some salt on

grapefruit will make it sweeter.

if I understand right, the lactate, fructose and sorbitol can be

intolerances because of the bile problems and how it basicly is

dysfunctioning our natural acids. check out " fructose malabsorbtion "

this is basicly why the csm helps, it removes the bile so the natural

acids function and helps regulate the ph, I guess. but I dont know

about how this works with/if you have candida/yeast or bacteria

problems that are presistent.
