Hi Liz, I am sorry to hear you were in a lot of pain, and required emergency

treatment. And in a heat wave, no wonder you were laid low. Heat does affect

folks physically and mentally though most just think if you suck it up you'll

get used to it. I had collected some " heat " links for a friend who was having a

hard time in this seemingly global heat wave and wondering if it was just her,

and I will pass on to you privately if you want.

I have a very high pain tolerance, so it wasn't that bad. I had to be convinced

to call 911, I walked into the ambulance, and was polite and cheerful

throughout. [i've found out I get far better service *everywhere* if I'm polite

and pleasant.]
