Guest guest
-you did not mention that the walls are wet inside. This needs more than a total remediation-the structure is somehow damaged and is letting in water-I just thought you had a musty carpet. This is too much to deal with in a rental-and where would you stay while the work was being done? And are you really going to be able to convince the landlord to do all this work? Are you sick?-unless you are superman and not affected at all by mold-I would say move, and be glad you don't own this problem. If you are affected by mold ,opening up the wall, with you living there, could put you in a wheel-chair. Just leave. Thanks,
Guest guest
If the walls are made of gypsum wallboard and are wet inside that is a recipe for a very toxic situation very quickly. If the water and the wallboard is new, and there is still no mold growth at all, punch holes in and dry it out with space heaters IMMEDIATELY. If this situation has existed for more than a few days.. do yourself a favor and get out of there. If you can't - you could end up really sick.. Take it from us, we know.
