Guest guest
Hi Everyone, In an earlier post someone had asked what type of flooring to put down to " prevent " mold growth. Although I doubt there is a perfect solution, my husband and I used a product called " Delta-FL " . Here is the link to the manufacturer. http://www.deltafl.com/ We put down engeneered wood flooring over it. Because we have cement sub floors, we wanted to make sure that there was a significant barrier between the cement and the flooring. This product raises your floors off the ground and the " dimples " allow air to get between the gaps, so if there should be water under the flooring it gives it a chance to dry before mold would set in. Another reason I personally like the " pergo " type flooring is that it can be taken apart if needed to get under the floor. The product was very hard to get for us here in California, we had to jump through many hoops and tons of phone calls with Lowes, but they did order it for us and we really are happy with it. It was worth the additional cost IMO. Adrean
Guest guest
For people with chemical sensitivities pergo flooring can off-gas. Had a friend and husband who became chemically sensitive after installing one in the home.
