Re: candida and mold free diet - losing weight after mold

After 3 years of gaining weight after mold exposure, I am finally beginning to

lose it. Here is the story:

I went to a naturopath (licensed in certain states) - this dr uses kinesiology

and eastern medicine approaches to treat patients - and she determined that I

needed , for now, to be on a diet without any wheat, sugar, dairy. However, per

the Dr - NO corn OR soy - ever. She has me drink a " bone broth " also to

strengthen me for multiple natural detoxifications she is doing on my liver and

thyroid. The bone broth is an organic chicken, one organic carrot/onion/celery

stalks and organic apple cider vinegar. BUT you have to cook it for 12 hours

minimally - then only eat the chicken and broth - 3 times per day (along w/ the

diet above) to get the nutrients.

While it all sounds rather strange, I had heard many times how sugar is

essentially poison and wheat is right behind it. She said no corn b/c it has

something to do with a digestive think that blocks up some valve that releases

lymphatic system stuff (releasing the toxins).

I have not exercised AT ALL and already am down nearly 2 pants sizes. I feel as

good as I think I can considering all the mold poisoning I was exposed to.

Hope this helps someone - the feeling of inflammation is markedly decreased,

which not only helps me physically feel better, but emotionally - I don't feel

quite as much like the " michelin woman " as I was for years. The #s keep

dropping so I'm on the right path for me.

always felt that diet was key in my recovery and have done juice fasts

and raw food weeks to cleanse my system. I also never eat any wheat

products, no dairy (which works for me) ad little sugar (that's a hard

one).

I have lost 25 pounds over the last 4 years doing this and feel so

much better. My energy work with a Jin Shin practitioner has also done

miracles for me.

there is something to this diet and losing weight. i am losing a lb.

to 3 lbs. a week. i am a been stalk right now and dont care to lose

anymore weight. but it is coming off. i am also terribly constipated

even while eating lots of veggies. i put flax in the rice cereal and

take fibre pills. but i only go when i take senna laxatives. (never

did this) (i usually have IBS) this is not a good thing. i know i am

doing something wrong. i can not stand all the rice (as in rice pasta

(yuck) ) . its making me nuts. what are you guys eating? any

recipies? books something? My sons girl friend does the cooking and

i am not liking her cooking much, she over seasons to compensate for

other things and seems to dry everything out with rice flour. i

would like to do my own thing while staying on the diet. can you guys

help?

thanks roe in staten island

I suggest taking a blood test to see if your thyroid is working O.K.

A high TSH (thyroid stimulating hormone) level might indicate that you

need to take synthroid. The indication for low thyroid function is

constipation.

Is rice allowed on your diet or are you just eating it anyway? I am

eating it anyway but rinsing and soaking it first, but I haven't seen

it on any mold-free diets. Have you?

i am hypothyroid. i take syntroid. i am monitored every three

months. there has been no change.

i made sure that nothing changed there.

i have added more raw greens and some fruit to the diet and things

are better in the constipation dept. so i am going to keep it up.

one piece of fruit a day and a salad at dinner. should keep me

going. just so tired all the time. but i do feel better on the diet.
