Guest guest
Black mold concerns mother of 3 asthmatic children Posted: Sep 22, 2008 WTOL - Toledo,OH* http://www.wtol.com/Global/story.asp?S=9053266 TOLEDO (WTOL) - She lives in a house on the 5500 block of Comet in west Toledo. Fine and dandy, you say. But what you don't know -- or didn't until now -- is that when it rains outside, it's raining inside, too. " I used to live in a three-bedroom small house, " said Micenic. She wanted to move to a bigger home, so she did; but with it came much bigger problems. " You can see where the water was coming from, and it just dripped onto my bed, " Micenic said. The rain is bad enough, surely. But hard on its heels was black mold, which is bad for anyone -- and especially for people with asthma. Mika spoke with Micenic's landlord, who says she had been very responsive when fixing things. She said her husband has already hired someone to fix the ceiling. She also claimed not to have known about the black mold. Mika suggested the two women sit down to discuss the situation. Micenic said if the problems aren't fixed, she'll soon be moving out.
