Can high estradiol be a symptom of breast cancer?

Hi Colleen,

Thanks so much for sharing your experiences. Interestingly, my

doctor didn't say anything at all about the estradiol level, nor re.

my endometrial lining. Instead, she was concerned about a breast

lump in my armpit and has arranged for me to get an ultrasound and

mammogram . . . which isn't scheduled until January 20th. I didn't

have a chance to look at my test results until I got home, so didn't

realize my estradiol and endometrial lining were higher than normal.

I am very worried re. the breast lump and wonder if my high

estradiol level could be indicative of breast cancer? Has anyone on

this board ever heard of such a correlation? I am considering

stopping all my brht until my test in January, which should lower

the estradiol and if I am lucky enough to have a good bleed, my also

reduce the endometrial lining. Does anyone have any thoughts they

are willing to share re. this idea?

many thanks,

Sadie
