The Leary Backlash Continues....

I agree up to a point. I have also wondered about those in the ND

community who claim that having gut pain, horrific sensory dysfuction,

etc is a natural state to be respected are truly instead a bunch of

morons. I don't know, I've not read Leary's book nor do I plan on

spending money for it. All I'm pointing out is if what he is claiming

is true, that we should be just as pissed, if not more so, at the NY

Times for taking statements out of context.

Example, if my above paragraph was chopped down, the NY Times could

say the following:

Debi Haney wrote blog claiming those with autism are morons. So says

she: " I have also wondered about those who claim that having gut pain,

horrific sensory dysfuction, etc is a natural state...a bunch of morons. "

Obviously two different intents were going on. Who should we be pissed

at, me for trying to discuss a topic or the NY Times for saying

something I didn't truly say. This *could* be the case with Leary.

Again, I'm not saying it is, just that with all his work to help

firefighters what he is explaining makes much more sense than what the

NY Times was originally claiming.

Or, he could be a moron!
