Mold was everywhere. " We couldn't leave it, mold was climbing up the walls, " Ronnie said. The s are still in shock. says, " This has destroyed my home. " Crews is with Skyetc, an Environmental Solutions company. " It only takes 24-hours for mold to develop, " says Crews. Crews took On Your Side to a restoration training house to show us the problem. After soaking a wall with water, a company analyst used an infrared camera and a moisture meter to show how quickly moisture builds up in a home. In a flooded house like the s, it is even worse. Crews says if your home gets flooded, get it dried out as quickly as possible. " If it is small area, use a detergent to clean it, " says Crews. Crews says if the mold covers more than one square feet, seal of the area with plastic sheeting and call in a certified expert. It is difficult to prevent a flood like what happened with the s, but crews say there are things you can do to prevent mold from creeping into your home.
